“Home Business” Strategy 101…Capture Your Own Leads

The three biggest problems facing internet marketers are:

1. Not Capturing your own leads.

2. Not having your own list to promote to.

3. Lost affiliate commisions.

All three of these problems can be solved with one small change in how you are marketing your business. Even worse, you’re not using a lead capture page at all! We all know that very few sales are made on the first contact. Tip #2. Optimize Your Web Site Copy: Your web site copy is another important aspect on how your website is viewed by the search engine spiders. Try to make it as interesting and informative as possible while pleasing the search engine spiders too. You can follow this three step process. Begin with an introductory paragraph that outlines, or tells your visitors, what you are going to tell them. Then in your next few paragraphs follow through and tell them your message just as you outlined in your opening paragraph. Finally, wind up you’re your article, or sales presentation by summarizing, or telling them what you have just covered in the proceeding paragraphs.

This may seem overly simplified but it works and it works very well.  Speak to your viewers as though they were 10 year olds. Don’t patronize them, but inform them in simple easy to understand terms that anyone can understand. When writing your copy focus on one or two key words per page. If you are selling acne treatment, focus your presentation on acne treatment and don’t use, acne cure, acne medicine etc. Stay focused on your main key word.

Next you should establish an acceptable key word density within your copy. When you optimize your website copy you should also establish a keyword density that is acceptable to the search engines. Opinions differ on what an acceptable keyword density should be, however it is agreed that, it shouldn’t be over 5 or 6 percent. This means that for every 100 words of copy your key words should appear about 5 or 6 times maximum. Any higher and you may run the risk of spamming which could damage your search engine ranking.

Where your keywords appear is also important. If possible, try to use your main keyword or keyword phrase at least twice in your first paragraph and then once in each of your following paragraphs. You will also get the best results if you use your main keyword to start and end your first paragraph. Take some time and think this step out very carefully. Make sure your message flows easily and doesn’t appear to be forced.

Proper use of Meta Tags and key words will definitely make your website search engine friendly and increase your traffic. In our next article we will be covering some other great traffic building tips. We will go through how to get more traffic through back links so be sure to stay tuned.

How To Easily Set Up Your, Affiliate Marketing, Money Making Blogs

You can easily set up money making blogs without even having a website. Blogs are an Affiliate Marketers gold mine. You can zero in and have a blog on a particular affiliate niche, or you can promote a number of affiliate products from a single blog. All you need is your own domain name and a web hosting account. You can use the standard “free” WordPress Blog if you choose, however I highly recommend hosting your own blog. When you host your blog, on your own hosting account, you have complete control and do not run the risk of having your blog shut down. You can have as many blogs, in the niches of your choice, with single hosting account for less than eight bucks a month.

I personally use Blue Voda. Blue Voda is a free downloadable wysiwig (what you see is what you get) web site building software and web hosting service. I’ve been using Blue Voda for some time now and can say without reservation, It is amazingly easy to use. You don’t need any prior experience or know html. Their support is fantastic. Blue Voda provides you with free video tutorials on every aspect of setting up and installing your WordPress Blog or building your website. You can download a free copy here.

Now back to setting up your cash generating blog. The first thing to do is register your domain name and activate your hosting account with Blue Voda. Now go to the video tutorial section of Blue Voda and open the section labeled (How to install WordPress in Blue Voda) and simply follow the directions. This can be done in a few minutes.

You will initially be provided with the default WordPress templates. I suggest you don’t use these. They are too generic and unprofessional. Go to WordPress and find a template that is professional in appearance and is optimized for Google ad sense. WordPress has a ton of templates that you can download for free. Down load the ones you like and then upload them to your Blue Voda account. Again Blue Voda provides clear video instructions on how to upload files to your account. You can now change your theme with just a couple of mouse clicks until you arrive at the one you like best.

Next I suggest you download a few plugins to help monetize and manage your blog. You should at least have a stat plug in to keep records of your traffic, an RSS plug-in for people to subscribe to your blog and an SEO plug-in to help increase your traffic and search engine rating. There are a lot of cool plugins for WordPress. Check them out and install as many as you feel you would like.

After you have made a few posts sign up for a Google ad sense account and then start posting at least three times a week. That’s all there is to it. You now have a cash generating blog. The amount you make is completely up to you and your commitment and efforts. One thing is a given…You will make money from your Google ad sense. It could amount to a few hundred dollars a month for each blog. It is all dependent on how much traffic you generate.
